I feel like we should have a poster at the stand demonstrating our solidarity with those fighting for democracy in the Middle East. Anyone want to get in on this?
I decided to ditch the usual social studies curriculum because I and the students are much more excited and interested about the protests around the world. We're collecting articles, podcasts, editorials, etc over vaca so we can explore what's going on and the rapid changes it's going through when we get back next week. Too bad we're not closer to NC - we have a lot of great artists in the class and I bet they'd love to work on a mural =)

ReplyDeleteA mural/poster from the Dunning 4th graders is a terrific idea and a good geography lesson too. Kids' artwork is the best.
